Acid Wash & Glue:

Sandblasting or Hydro Blasting & Glue:
- This method removes dirt, minerals and lose plaster. The substrate is chemically etched, if necessary, and cleaned. A special glue designed for this purpose is added to the plaster mix.
*Sandblasting or Hydro Blasting & Pre-Coat:
- This method removes dirt, minerals and loose plaster. The substrate is always pneumatically etched and chemically etched, if necessary, and cleaned prior to pre-coat application which is designed to enhance bonding capability.
**Stripping:
- This method materially removes the old plaster down to the gunite.
* & ** These are the methods best used
NOTE: Any time acid is used, it must be thoroughly neutralized and disposed of according to EPA standards and all local ordinances.
In most cases *this is the method which we use on all jobs other than those which require a full strip of the existing plaster. These jobs obviously require stripping.
